Knauf Insulation is seeking a Head of Product Development – Europe to join its Central Marketing Team located at Knauf Insulation’s headquarters, Visé (Belgium), defining central strategy and supporting Knauf Insulation Regions.
The team consists of around 20 people who are trusted partners in ensuring transparency of business results, performance and strategy. It supports the management process and assists KI’s regions and plants in their HR activities.
YOUR CHALLENGE
The main purpose of the Head of Product Development Blowing Wool is to develop and drive the business of Blowing Wool and the execution of the strategic roadmap. She/he is the “owner” of the application on central level and will support and consult the regions in order to accelerate their business in Blowing Wool, and making a contribution in other markets as well.
Reporting to the Group Market & Business Excellence Director, you will work on a number of topics:
- Defining our USPs and value proposition from a customer perspective
- Business Planning, Strategy development & Innovation roadmap 3-5 years
- Create briefings for new innovation development requests, considering regional demands
- Consolidate customer insights, key trends, regulatory roadmap, competitive moves
- Central and single point of contact for the regions and the Knauf Group
- Sharing best-practices across regions and Knauf entities
- Create cross-regional know-how center for application, solutions, regulations, legal requirements……
- Creation of a strong community per application/ solution
- Supporting and pushing the successful launch of her/his applications/solutions in the regions
- Develop launch packs and training on global innovations/value propositions
- Helping regions identifying and using new opportunities, create innovation roadmap
- Consulting and supporting product and solution developments
- Anticipating future trends and turn it into developments
- Portfolio Management tracking (Global process).
YOUR TALENTS
- MBA or university degree in engineering, business economics or equivalent
- Relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years in different positions related to the construction industry, experience on construction sites is appreciated, as well as an experience in MarCom
- Strong interest in modern solutions and technologies in the construction industry
- Good understanding of market and customer requirements
- Ability to find new opportunities in the market and sell them
- Commercial spirit and ability to develop one’s network
- Languages: Fluent in English. (German and/or French is an asset)
- Master MS office suite (strong skills of Word, XL, PowerPoint)
- Independent, flexible personality with friendly and open attitude

- Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to travel around 40% of working hours
