Business Controller

The ideal candidate is Regional Business Controller / Business Analyst, he or she will oversee the business and financial operations of the organization, within 6 countries (Western Europe and Israel), led by the European Management Team.

This Business Controller will monitor and benchmark the organization’s finance and business performance measurement and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to financially and operationally advise, draw conclusions and propose actions.

This Business Controller will be the reporting process owner, will consolidate the regional figures of the 6 countries and will improve the performance measurement and reporting system with SAP and TABLEAU.

Hybrid and flexible job location with strong presence in Wolfgantzen (greater Colmar, Basel, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Freiburg, Grand Est France) in the first 12 months of the role.

Flex options are possible from Paris or Brussels in the future (1 to 2 years). Open minded to relocation.

Skills & Competences:

• Strong understanding of business processes and systems, financial and management accounting principles. (CIAM/ACCA)
• Experience with financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, investment appraisal techniques.
• Strong ability to make sense out of figures and data-driven decision making. Ability to search, read, interpret and analyze financial and other business data to draw meaningful conclusions and communicate them effectively.
• Experience with business analytics, data analysis and data visualization tools (“Tableau” is plus).
• Understanding of ERP concepts, experience with SAP is must.
• Ability to convey information and ideas effectively. Capability to build support for his/her ideas, ability to interact with senior stakeholders and get buy-in from them.
• Ability to take initiative and act without being prompted. Take responsibility for the processes to drive change without formal power.
• Experience with process improvement and change management. The ability to plan and execute changes in an organized and systematic way, define new procedures and work instructions to organize new ways of working.
• Tolerance to uncertainty, ability to work in demanding environment with short deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to learn fast in non-structured environment. Business curiosity, versatility to fulfill different tasks in growing function.

Qualifications:

• Master degree in accounting, finance, or engineering.
• CIMA/ACCA or similar qualification is plus.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in controlling, management accounting, business analytics or FP&A departments of international companies.
• Proficient level of English (French and/or another European language is plus).
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP ERP; SAP BW and SAP Analysis;
• TABLEAU experience at “creator” level is highly desirable.
